Brazil is considered the most anxious country in the world
Brazil is considered the most anxious country in the world, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Before the pandemic, it was estimated that approximately 9.3% of the Brazilian population, equivalent to 19.4 million people, suffered from some degree of anxiety. Factors such as high unemployment rates, frequent economic changes, and public security issues are pointed out as the main causes for the high prevalence of anxiety disorders among the Brazilian population.
